Dyslexia Tutoring
Meet Claire
My name is Claire Redden-Owen and I am fully-qualified, dedicated English tutor in Upminster. I started One to One because of my work in the classroom at school. More and more, these days, I see young students suffering from anxiety, as well as a host of other mental issues. These hamper their engagement with school and stop them from learning and fulfilling their potential. As convenient as it may be to have all the children together in one place, the classroom isn’t always a conducive platform for children with learning difficulties. They find themselves left behind. With my dyslexia tutoring, I’m here to help stop that from happening.
I offer, as the name suggests, a one-to-one service, instead of taking large groups of children all together in one after-school class. I find that I can pinpoint various issues very quickly, especially if they are dyslexia-related, and counteract them with different strategies that help children to learn independently – the most important thing a budding student can do! I offer dyslexia tutoring, to support children in their learning pathway. I find that I connect with children very quickly and am also able to operate in a counselling capacity. I’m a very calm person, which suits my one-to-one style very well.
